Valve on Linux

Posted on  7/17/2012
Valve is the operator of Steam and is the biggest retailer of games in the world like Half-Life, Portal, and Left 4 Dead franchises. All Linux lovers know that gaming was one aspect of the platform that has been weak but things are expected to change now with Valve stepping up to Linux.

Not only that, Valve has also launched a Linux blog to be the official source of information about what Valve is doing with Linux.The first post on their blog says that the company has been working on getting Steam running on Linux(Ubuntu only) and in 2011 they formed a Linux team.

Left 4 Dead 2, one of their comparatively-recent games is already running on Ubuntu, and other Valve titles are also being worked on.
The Steam client itself is running on Ubuntu with all major features available.

~~~~Open Source~~~~you will love more as you get more into it~~~~
